Jamie Joseph had an early interest in the lapidary arts. As a child, her Barbie doll case housed a collection of pretty pebbles rather than frilly doll frocks. It was her affinity for unusual rocks that later led her to enroll in a jewelry design class while attending the University of Kansas. Shortly after graduating from college, Jamie Joseph Jewelry Designs was created, selling to small fashion boutiques and art galleries.
Over the years, Jamie Joseph has continued to enhance her creative skills and techniques. In 1999, she attended the New York Jewelry Institute to gain a more intense understanding of technical metalsmithing. She has met with Master Jewelers for professional critiques and aligns herself with an artist's collective of women in her Seattle hometown.
As the collection of Jamie Joseph designs continues to grow, so do her accolades. She has earned the acclaim of jewelry aficionados and the fashion elite. Her jewelry has been featured in everything from W and Lucky to People and Elle and the list of celebrities who are fans of her work includes Kirsten Dunst, Cameron Diaz, Sheryl Crow and Naomi Watts.
