On May 3rd, Texas based designer Megan Thorne will be visiting Eliza Page for a jewelry trunk show. There will be an entire selection of her bridal and other fine jewelry, and Thorne herself will make an appearance from 12-4 p.m.
Inspirations for her jewelry lines vary from vintage fabrics, to architecture, to ancient mythology, but it is the juxtaposition of clean, ornate, refined and organic that can be seen throughout her collections. Megan casts, fabricates, and hand finishes each piece which provides her jewelry with a very, unique personalized touch.
Megan has an in-house studio staffed with a team of personally-trained jewelers, but even with a team she touches every piece, designing, drawing, fabricating, casting, setting and finishing her own jewels. It is this intimacy with her craft and materials that brings forth the integrity of every piece and the intricacy of her designs. And it is this attention to detail, design and workmanship that instantly transforms a ring or necklace into an heirloom piece, one that will travel through generations with timeless elegance.
