Adel Chefridi

Adel Chefridi was born in the old city of Tunis, along the Mediterranean coast. He came to New York in 1998 where he founded his Studio, with his designs drawing from his multicultural background. He creates his pieces using natural gem stones, and solid precious metals. His designs emphasize simplicity, wearability and durability and have a friendly and peaceful feel that make them wearable everyday. Most pieces will have a gemstone or multiple stones in the design, and that involves stone setting techniques ranging from bead work to microsetting.  In Adel's words "The colors of natural gemstones are the best compliment to the natural beauty of people. My work is an attempt to present the innate beauty of both the gemstones and the wearer."
