Ryan Smith grew up splitting his time between the cities of the North Texas hill country and the fields of Southern Wisconsin. This allowed him to cultivate a deep respect for the hard working culture of farm life as well as the high concept culture of art and design. Ryan Austin Wearables is the creative union of his life-long passion for metal working, the techniques he learned while earning a double BFA in Metal smithing and Sculpture, and the experience he gained in over a decade of designing and selling one-of-a-kind and custom jewelry for independent jewelers here in Texas. Drawing inspiration from patterns found in nature, men's fashion, and art history, he designs pieces that are fashionable and comfortable, then refines those designs to craft pieces of wearable metal art. The result is a collection of solid, hand finished pieces that have enough presence to enhance any outfit, yet maintain a classic enough silhouette that you can enjoy wearing them every day.
